The illustration was inspired by the Strandeiland project, where I had the opportunity to contribute to the design process as an architect within the Space&Matter office.
The aim of the project was to turn Strandeiland into a 'nature-inclusive,' emission-free, and energy-generating sustainable neighborhood.
I illustrated the 'Wetland block,' one among other urban blocks, with the concept where architecture is based on landscape biotypes, such as dune, dune valley, forest, etc.
This is my first experiment with architectural illustration, in an attempt to create a friendly, lively and cozy impression rather than focusing solely on the pure aesthetics of concrete and architectural form.
